Why Remote Socializing is Important

Remote employees face a challenge because they're missing the same in-person interaction and communication as office workers. Research shows that remote employees have significantly weaker relationships with coworkers than those who work in-house. That's not surprising. Two-thirds of remote workers are missing the vital benefits of weekly or monthly team-building sessions. These are high-impact, high-involvement, entertaining sessions that are planned for everyone to participate.

Unplugging after remote work is essential for separating the mind and winding down from the fast-paced planning, organizing, producing and other work that is expected to be accomplished in the same space as day-to-day homemaking and relaxation.
