- Championed the procurement and implementation of an application to create the JW Harris University. This Learning Management (LMS) project delivered capabilities to create custom JDE (and non-JDE) training tools, enterprise-wide registration, enrollment tracking, reporting, management approval, version control, auditing of learning programs and corporate communications mechanisms.
- Negotiated the procurement of an IBM AS400, upgraded the network to a 1G backbone and signed a lease agreement for desktops to minimize the costs of OS/hardware/software obsolescence.
- Led the vendor selection process and negotiated the procurement of RF Bar-code data collection software from Data Systems International to support the shop floor and multiple warehouse operations.
- Implemented an effective anti-spam application from Clearswift and began a program to establish Crystal Reports as the corporate standard for report generation.
- Participated in Microsoft's Alpha/Beta testing phase of Virtual Server technology and consolidated seven dedicated servers into two resulting in significant long term operating cost savings.
- Negotiated a telecomm contract (400k savings over 3 years) and successfully cutover to Sprint.
